New electric vehicle parking program

As of February 1, 2014, a new incentive program will go into effect for electric vehicles and hybrids.

Per CalHR, the program provides:

• Reduced monthly parking rates at specified DGS-managed parking facilities;
• First priority for available monthly parking passes when a wait list exists for the facility; and
• First-come, first-served access to electric vehicle chargers at reasonable hourly rates.

The reduced montly rate applies at all DGS-managed lots, regardless of whether charging stations are currently available or not.
