ACSS 14th Delegate Assembly was a Huge Success!

ACSS held its 14th triennial Delegate Assembly at the Hilton Arden West Hotel in Sacramento on October 10th - 13th. Delegates reviewed Association business, voted on policy changes, and elected a new Board of Directors as well as Statewide Officers.

On Saturday October 12th, Delegates elected a new Board of Directors who will serve a three-year term from 2024 - 2027. In addition, newly-elected Chapter Officers were sworn-in to serve their three year term. Saturday evening featured a dinner and entertainment event that was enjoyed by all. On Sunday, ACSS held the first Board Meeting with the newly-elected Board Members. The first order of business was to elect new Statewide Officers. The newly-elected Statewide Officers were sworn into office by ACSS President Emeritus Frank Ruffino.

The newly elected Statewide Officers are:

     President – Nina Thomas
     Executive Vice President – Millie Barajas-Waters
     VP of Governmental Affairs – Christina Shupe
     VP of Membership Development – Michael Bonner
     Secretary/Treasurer – Timothy Skillman

ACSS President Nina Thomas comments, “I am honored to be selected by the Board as ACSS President. I want to thank our outgoing president, Todd D'Braunstein, for his continued dedication to seeing ACSS grow numerically and in political strength. We look forward to carrying the enthusiasm and comradery experienced at Delegate Assembly into our continued efforts to effectively implement our Strategic Plan Goals. In order to accomplish this, the Board is committed to ensuring there is two-way communication, transparency and accountability. I look forward to listening to you and serving you well over the next three years.”
