Statement for Secretary/Treasurer
I am Monic Grueso, a Program Assistant for DSH – Napa State Hospital and a Psychiatric Technician by license. I am running for the position of Secretary / Treasurer for Chapter 504. I have been serving the state for more than 15 years with the last 9 years in a leadership position. My background over the years has provided me with the experience and skills to advocate and help foster transparency, collaboration in achieving our goals for our members. Statement for Delegate
As a current chapter officer, I am running as a delegate so that during Delegate Assembly, I will be able to represent Chapter 504 as either a candidate or representative for Chapter 504 in electing those to positions for the ACSS Board of Directors and for the Officers. Having been in my current position, I have been able to participate in ACSS Board Meetimgs and know what is required of those on the Board and what their purpose and service is for us. By being a delegate, I can ensure we elect those best suited for the jobs. Thank you.

Statement for Chapter Vice President
As the current chapter 504 President for over 2 years, we have had consistency in quarterly meetings, had more active participation in ACSS, and increased communication with members. I would like to continue serving chapter 504 members by being Vice-President and working as a team with the chapter officers and state board of directors. I would like to see more participation and communication with members by also providing the opportunity to have virtual and in person quarterly meetings and maybe regional meetings, as well as have community service projects. I will be attending ACSS Lobby Day this year and will continue to provide our members with updates. Thank you.

Statement for Delegate
I have been a Senior Psychiatrist, Supervisor at DSH-Napa and an ACSS member since 2018. I have always been a strong believer in organization and political action. As a staff psychiatrist I was an active member of UAPD and was elected by my peers at DSH-Napa as a delegate for the AFSCME convention in 2016. It would be my honor to serve as a delegate for ACSS.

I have been an ACSS member since 2019. I have 27 years of combined management consulting, academic teaching, and California State Service experience in Training and Organization Development, Program Development, Policy Research and Quality Management. I have been in service of the State of California since 2017. My work functions have exposed me to a diverse range of Supervisors and Managers statewide, which enabled me to gain a strong contextual understanding of needs that will serve as inputs to ACSS policy making.
I highly value human resources and human capital. I also believe in employee rights for all because strong employee rights result in greater employee morale, reduced turnover rates, and promotion of a safe and healthy work environment for staff, supervisors, as well as colleagues. I have also been a Member of the Solano County Library Advisory Council and a Board Member for the Fresh Air Vallejo, an organization advocating for environmental justice.
I encourage you to vote for me. I believe I have the experience, passion, integrity, and forward-thinking attitude required to represent members of the ACSS. I look forward to representing you, and to identifying our issues and improving our lives both inside and outside our workplaces.

Hello, my name is Beverly, and I currently represent Chapter 504 as a Delegate. I would like to continue to represent Chapter 504 as a Delegate. I have learned a lot about CA State Representation and Cal HR as a Delegate and improved my ability to work as a manager and an advocate for state employees. I would like to expand my knowledge and get more involved with ACSS membership committee and expand our membership, in order to, increase are representation, with concerning issues, with the CA State Legislature and Cal HR. I have worked for the State for 10 years, and I have promoted from line staff to a management. I'm known to be professional, responsive, decisive and fair. State Supervisors are currently challenged with operating with limited resources in the current budget climate, including limited support staff, due to the large number of OT, SSA, and AGPA vacancies. I think it is important to work with State Legislators and Cal HR to increase salaries and benefits for all state employees to make the State of California an attractive and preferred employer. My name is Santiago Serrato I am asking to be entrusted into the role of Chapter 504 Delegate.
I have been state supervisor for 10 years. I have been in the role of Chapter 504 Vice President.
I am requesting to be a Chapter 504 Delegate to establish the vision of ACSS and execute by its business plan. Represent the ideals of the members at Chapter Meetings and Delegate Assembly.

I have been a state supervisor for 10 years. I consider myself a good team player, and quick learner . If given an opportunity to be Chapter 504 President, I would be glad to contribute my time and efforts in making the difference for ACSS and the state supervisor community.
