Charlotte Hoar (ACSS Organizer) will be visiting the CA Lottery HQ in Sacramento in Pavilion 2 (700 North 10th Street in Sacramento) on Tuesday August 12th. She will have two presentation sessions: 11:30am and 12:30pm. At each session you will learn more about ACSS, your rights as an excluded employee and hear about the issues ACSS is working on that matter to you. The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will begin implementation of Assembly Bill (AB) 60. The DMV estimates that it will issue approximately 1.4 million additional CA drivers licenses over the next 24 months and will hire approximately 35 managers and supervisors to work in new Driver Licenses Processing Center (DLPC) facilities and existing field offices.
Does the implementation of AB60 affect your workload, hours, working conditions, or other aspects of your employment? ACSS asks for input and feedback from DMV supervisors and managers to be able to protect your interests and represent you before the California Department of Human Resources and DMV on this issue. She will have two presentation sessions: 11:30am and 12:30pm. At each session you will learn more about ACSS, your rights as an excluded employee and hear about the issues ACSS is working on that matter to you. Lunch will be provided for current and potential ACSS members who RSVP by noon on Monday July 28th.

ACSS meets and greet Assemblymember Rocky Chavez at his Club 76 event at the Oceanside Harbor. He spoke on the current political atmosphere in SAcramento and his role as a first term Assembly Legislator. Assembly member Chavez has an extensive background as a Marine Colonel, Oceanside City Councilmember, and former California Secretary on Veterans Affairs. ACSS spoke to him about compaction and ACSS role in state government. Rocky is an individual with the experience needed to create positive solutions for California, said Frank Ruffino, ACSS Vice President of Governmental Affairs.
Charlotte Hoar (ACSS Organizer) will be visiting the California Department of Consumer Affairs Worksite on Wednesday July 23rd in the First Floor Hearing Room at DCA HQ in Sacramento (1625 North Market Blvd.). She will have two presentation sessions: 11:30am and 12:30pm. At each session you will learn more about ACSS, your rights as an excluded employee and hear about the issues ACSS is working on that matter to you. Lunch will be provided for current and potential ACSS members who RSVP.
Charlotte Hoar (ACSS Organizer) will be visiting the California Department of General Services Worksite on Tuesday July 22nd in the Executive Dining Room at DGS HQ in West Sacramento (707 Third St, West Sacramento CA). She will have two presentation sessions: 11:30am and 12:30pm. At each session you will learn more about ACSS, your rights as an excluded employee and hear about the issues ACSS is working on that matter to you. Lunch will be provided for current and potential ACSS members who RSVP by noon on Monday July 21st.
ACSS received the Pay Letter 14-08 from CalHR and we can now confirm who will get the 2% general salary increase effective July 1, 2014. Check if your class received a raise by reading the official pay letter.
CalHR will develop separate pay letters for specified increases for excluded employees aligned with Bargaining Unit 5 and for special pay adjustments for some of the excluded employees aligned with Bargaining Units 9 and 10. A separate pay letter for excluded employees aligned with Bargaining Unit 6 is anticipated as well. There may be some additional letters that provide special adjustments for specified classifications. ACSS will notify you of these additional letters as they become available for release.
